Creamy Garlic Shrimp with Parmesan + Wine = LOVE

When you think of typical Mediterranean dishes, you automatically think of a type of wine that matches them. So what wine do we choose for these prawns in creamy garlic sauce?

We need a wine with balanced acidity, aromatic and elegant. We find all these characteristics in the Sauvignon Blanc variety. This wine goes perfectly with dishes containing garlic. Also, a glass of prosecco goes very well with this dish. This is often the combination I choose when I visit one of the countries bathed in the waters of the Mediterranean. Let’s move on to another topic because I already missed the holidays.

What do I do when I don’t have the perfect wine for this dish?

Well, I’m making some delicious lemonade. I find it goes so well with this creamy garlic shrimp recipe that I often choose it over a glass of wine. Cold water, lemon juice, honey, and a little mint…fabulous.

How many shrimp recipes exist?

I think the most popular shrimp recipes are: white sauce shrimp, shrimp saganaki, garlic butter shrimp, and shrimp pasta. Most friends love shrimp and the recipes listed above are the most loved. I admit that these recipes are also on my list most often. But I decided to prepare the shrimp differently, match them with other ingredients, and cook them differently. And I started researching and compiling a list of recipes that I still make from time to time or want to make shortly:

The shrimp taco looks like a great dish to me. Let’s thank the Mexicans for this invention. I can’t wait to prepare both shrimp and vegetable tacos myself or what other healthy and delicious combinations I will discover.

Shrimp salad – yes, yes, I make a delicious salad with various vegetables to which I add some shrimp pan-seared with a little oil and my favorite spices.

Delicious pan-seared shrimp sandwiches with garlic and parsley. A culinary delight. I usually prepare them for 2-3 days and keep them wrapped in the fridge. Before I serve the sandwich, I heat it in the oven. Delicious!!!

Shrimp in spicy sauce – I start from the classic recipe of pan-seared prawns with a little butter and garlic to which I also add a bit of spicy red pepper.

Shrimp Curry – oh yes I have developed a curry obsession. Especially since it’s super healthy. I have a superb recipe for super nutritious and tasty Oyster mushroom curry that you must try.

And I think the list can go on forever…

If you know some other recipes with shrimps please share them with me. I love to discover and cook new recipes for my family.
